Longtime progress lurker from Slack days. I'm interested in connecting progress with larger philosophical themes of well-being and values, and in posts like Jason's about the moral imperative of progress. 

Too often (in the wider community) progress seems to be equated merely with growth, which leads to odd stances like "Innovation is over so we should accept our current stagnation and be thankful for the progress we do have because its not changing anytime soon".  

This post is my rambling on how our ideas about progress need to evolve.
